"Rope Cat" Rope, Hot Glue, Popsicle Sticks, 2023

Parker: A Sculptural Study
This sculpture is a detailed representation of my cat, Parker, built to scale with a skeleton made of popsicle sticks and covered in rope to bring the form to life. The piece is held together using hot glue, highlighting the balance between structure and texture. The process involved not only capturing the physical likeness of Parker but also embodying his unique character through the intricate use of materials, from the rigidity of the popsicle sticks to the softness of the rope.

"Clay Bust" Clay, 2023
Bust Recreation: Clay Interpretation
In this project, I recreated a classical bust using clay, capturing both the form and detail of the original sculpture. The photos document the process, from the original piece to my interpretation. The challenge was to translate the smooth contours and intricate facial details into a malleable medium while staying true to the proportions and likeness of the subject. This work highlights my growing understanding of texture, depth, and the delicate balance between representation and personal expression in sculpture.

"Clown Chair" Plastic Balls, Pipe Cleaners, Wooden Dowels, 2023
Clown Chair
This playful sculpture, titled Clown Chair, reimagines the traditional concept of furniture by using unconventional materials like plastic balls, pipe cleaners, and jump rope. Drawing inspiration from the colorful and whimsical nature of circus imagery, the piece challenges the idea of functional design by transforming a chair into a dynamic, vibrant form. The use of soft, tactile materials adds an unexpected lightness, inviting interaction while evoking a sense of fun and childlike wonder.
